Description
This 3D-printable adapter has an SBS-standard footprint and is designed to accommodate 1.5 mL microcentrifuge tubes (Eppendorf-type tubes). The integrated retaining feature holds each tube cap securely in the open position, facilitating sample handling and access during laboratory workflows. The model has been successfully tested using PLA. Printability, mechanical performance, dimensional accuracy, chemical compatibility, and heat resistance may vary depending on the printing material, printer settings, and manufacturing conditions. In particular, the adapter’s resistance to elevated temperatures is determined by the material used for printing and should be evaluated before use. This design is intended for research use only. It has not been certified as a medical device or validated for diagnostic, clinical, safety-critical, high-temperature, or hazardous-material applications. Disclaimer: This model is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Users are responsible for verifying its suitability, stability, material compatibility, and safe operation for their intended application. The creator and distributor accept no liability for injury, sample loss, equipment damage, property damage, or any other direct or indirect harm resulting from the printing, modification, or use of this model.
