Description
Zebrafish cadherin17 is a member of cadherin Ca2+ dependent cell-cell adhesion family. It is required for the proper formation of the pronephric ducts, which later develop into the kidneys in adult zebrafish. It also functions in the liver and intestine of zebrafish, suggesting a broader role in tissue organization and cell adhesion.
