Description
Flexible kit for the construction of DNA duplexes and simple DNA nanostructures. Engineered connectors provide robustness, but allow for easy disassembly and reconfiguration of DNA systems. This 75% scale model has been cost engineered to require less than half the material of the original 100% model while maintaining connection robustness and flexibility. The journal paper entitled " Modular, Articulated Models of DNA and Peptide Nucleic Acids for Nanotechnology Education" was published in 2023 in The Biophysicist. https://www.doi.org/10.35459/tbp.2022.000225 (https://www.doi.org/10.35459/tbp.2022.000225). Supplementary material for the article includes teaching activities for creating duplexes, teaching polymerase action, constructing a double crossover and building DNA tweezers.
