Description
The Microplate Feeder Assay quantifies consumption by allowing flies to drink from wells of a 1536-well microplate. By incorporating a tracer dye into the ingestion fluid, absorbance changes in the wells are translated to volumetric changes quantifying consumption. This method allows for heightened throughput and precision over conventional consumption assays.
