Description

This design is meant for mass producing a bouffant cap. We recommend making this from Spunbond Polypropylene. This makes it useful for only minimal fluid exposure but provides breathability. It is made from a single thin layer with a elastic attached with a zigzag stitch. The XL Bouffant is 25.75” diameter and made with a 19” (48.26cm) unstretched elastic. For reference our elastic had a 45” (114.3cm) maximum stretch elastic. The regular Bouffant is 19.75” (50.165cm) diameter and made with a 17” (43.18cm) unstretched elastic. For reference out elastic had a 38” maximum stretch. This design was developed by: Jeffrey Lipton (University of Washington) Deborah Skorstad (University of Washington Tyler Williams (University of Washington) Dmitry Levin (University of Washington)
