Description
This shield was produced by the Temple University COVID Assistance Team (TUCAT). The design accepts PET shield film cut with a standard 3D punch. Additionally, the smoothing of stress points optimizes this design for producing a negative mold of the shield for urethane resin casting. Using this method, our group is able to produce hundreds of cast shields per day. The included 3D printable clips allow for easy and adjustable attachment of elastic to the face shield design. Finally, a laser-cut foam insert improves comfort and decreases aerosol exposure from above the shield. Both the adjustable clip and the laser-cut foam are optional in the final construction.
