Description
This is a variant of the Stopgap Surgical Mask with an internal cartridge. This design has been optimized for production on FDM 3D printers. Designs with and without supports have been included. Designs for a printable cartridge and straps have also been included. We recommend printing the mask and straps with thermoplastic polyurethane and the cartridge with polylactic acid. We have used Halyard H600 sterilization wrap and HEPA filters in the cartridge as filtration material. The mask and cartridge can be sterilized and reused. Specific sterilzation processes are currently undergoing testing. The following solutions for disinfecting are recommended: 1. 10% chlorine bleach solution 2. Super Sani-Cloth 3. CaviWipes 4. 3% Hydrogen peroxide 5. Soap and water https://www.epa.gov/pesticide-registration/list-n-disinfectants-use-against-sars-cov-2 (https://www.epa.gov/pesticide-registration/list-n-disinfectants-use-against-sars-cov-2) Additionally baking at 132 degrees centigrade for five minutes, followed by 30 minutes of drying may sterilize the materials.
