Description

This submission is a Montana Mask variation with a flange that is integrated into the mask body, instead of on the filter plug. Having the flange on the mask body allows for a variety of thinner filter materials to be used around the filter plug, while still maintaining the full benefits of a flange. The frontmost plate has also been modified so it is contoured, eliminating an issue with lower-quality printers where the front layer delaminated, leaving only the innermost layer as an airtight seal. Full attribution for the original mask design lies with the creators of the Montana Mask, at www.makethemask.com. This variation is meant to be optimized for alternative filter-types - especially those of a thinner material, and 3d printers that may not print the best first-layer. One tester has noticed improved performance when using 0.1 micron filtering vacuum bags.
