Description

A model of a severe calcified bicuspid aortic valve (BAV), which includes 3 parts: aortic root, leaflets, and calcium deposits embedded inside the leaflets. The aortic valve model is based on a parametric representation by Haj-Ali et al. (2012). The calcification geometry was obtained from CT scan of a severely calcified BAV patient, selected from a pre-TAVR CT database at Sheba Medical Center, Israel. The database was generated as a part of an NIH grant# EB026414 (PIs: Danny Bluestein from Stony Brook University, Rami Haj-Ali from Tel Aviv University and Marvin Slepian from University of Arizona). BAV Patient#4: Gender: Female Age[years] : 87 Height[m] : 1.7 Weight[kg]: 92
