Description
Axitinib is an orally bioavailable tyrosine (https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/compound/tyrosine) kinase inhibitor. Axitinib inhibits the proangiogenic cytokines vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGF), thereby exerting an anti-angiogenic effect.
