Description

This is a 3d print derivation of a previous custom made stainless steel biochamber (Whitney, 2012) that we use to sandwich a polyester membrane to grow scaffold free cartilage sheets. The single chamber version here allows for more conditions to be tested with a lower volume of media than previous models. Whitney GA, Mera H, Weidenbecher M, Awadallah A, Mansour JM, Dennis JE. Methods for producing scaffold-free engineered cartilage sheets from auricular and articular chondrocyte cell sources and attachment to porous tantalum. Biores Open Access. 2012; 1:157-65.
